![]() I note I have a fuse inserted for the sunroof, but have no sunroof, so wonder if I can use it? Should they be there? Can any of the existing fuse locations be monopolized for these lights, or will additional fuses be needed? I was looking at my fuse blocks and was sad to not see a fuse location for fog and driving auxiliary lights. much like ladies like to do in shoe shops. No matter, it's always a good experience to wander around the hardware stores, right. I was thinking the other way round, so need to go back to hardware store to get nuts and locking washers. Your photos have alerted me to the fact I need securing nuts for the bracket's screwed in bolts on the inside of the battery boxes. So until Monday or so, I'll not know if I need spacers. Just hope the German/Belgium and US customs don't poke around in the packaging too much and drop out needed items (as has happened to me before). The Horn Grille lights will be in my hot sweaty hands next Monday if the German customs would release the packaging ASAP. ![]() I have the lower bumper fog lights in hand, and they require a very different installation process, but should be easier for me. The more info/advice will mean a more seamless installation process for me. I'm now off to my local hardware store with one of the brackets in hand to find 4 bolts/screws for attaching the brackets to the battery boxes using the provided two holes that I have to discover and open up nicely for use. Lastly, I wish to thank y'all here who responded to my installation enquiry - VERY helpful indeed. Good luck for all others attempting this installation. I'll post back here later when I've successfully completed this installation for my '69 912 Coupe. I would also assume the wiring for the lights (if not supplied with the lights) need to be attached to the light's inside and routed to the car's inside, ready to be spliced into the fog or driving light's wire harness per the wiring diagram shown/posted earlier in this thread. I guess I will shortly find out if I needs spacers of a certain length. I assume this would be necessary if the bracket attachment to the battery box needs to be more forward for positioning the fog light from interfering with the chrome horn grille. The below thread URL link also mentions the use of a spacer. The grille can be left loose while bracket attached to the battery box, and subsequently reattached to its opening using its two sheet metal chromed screws. It sure would have helped if these instructions/diagrams came with the Grille and Bracket (as well as the screw bolts for securing the brackets to the battery boxes) from the vendor I purchased them from.įor others who might struggle with this installation, be sure to read this posting link I've provided that insists (strongly advises) you firstly have the bracket pointing through the grille, then assemble/attach each light to its bracket, and then attach the grille with the fog light and bracket assembly to the battery box. Seems like I will also need 4 bolt/screws that pass through the battery box sides and thread into the two threaded holes in each bracket so the bracket is secured firmly to the battery box, and hold the fog or driving light firmly and from shaking about. So now I can see just how the bracket is oriented to attach to the battery box. "We'll just see what Karl has in store for San Francisco. Thanks Georg. ![]() "If you think of Sutro as a frame, the sky's the canvas and the light but the artist is Karl (the Fog)," Davis said. The stage is set for five nights marking five decades and it all comes down to the one variable no one can control. ![]() It sends and receives signals on a massive scale." "What I really want to have people to lean into is the metaphorical promise of this tower," he explained. We're always going to be pursuing beauty but we wanna see what happens if we move color through it."Īnd for Davis, the title, "LoveAbove" really sums up the intent - it's about allowing everyone to send and receive a little light through Sutro on its big anniversary. "We're not gonna make it flashy, blinky or disturbing. "Yeah, they'll all rotate around and you'll see a hole right through the center when the skies clear out and the beams are just perfect," Davis said of the design. ![]()
